Okay so I have a question, I recently started looking at my husband's phone and I went to his google search and there is a bunch of adult sites in the search. He also has adult sites saved in his phone memo. He said its a virus and his phone got hacked and why I'm concerned is because we have a lot of personal information on his phone. Could it be a virus?

    I don't think so.

I hate having to tell you this, but, those are most likely only excuses for his behavior.

If it was a virus or an external hack, the consequences would most likely be something else, not only visits to adult sites and adult sites saved.

Of course I could be wrong, but I really doubt it.

    Sorry.

Thank you, I kind of figured that he was looking at it just wanted to make sure it wasn't a virus, I did a scan and it showed up clean

Possible? Yes. Doubtful in my opinion. I never heard of a virus saving things in a memo or bookmark. For a hacker to invade someone computer they are most likely looking for personal info or files. Not putting fake information into browsers or adding memos and bookmarks.

I almost forget: try to keep personal or any kind of sensible information to the minimum on devices that can be easily lost or stolen.

No, adult web sites does not mean they all have virus contains. But yes, some of them have virus/ ad-cache that can be harmful. However, it is not revealed that before inspecting your husband's phone, have you asked him.
