I have a HTC CDMA Phone which is SIM less. I purchased it from USA( Metro PCS) and I would like to operate it in India, how do use the phone?

Hello sbchandu,

First you have to make sure that it is unlocked, if not then go to the nearest mobile repair shop and unlock it first. Then you may able to use the CDMA service in the phone.

    You will be able to unlock the phone easily, But you will find difficulties in using the phone in India. Because CDMA phones purchased in USA will have a carrier provider with specific CDMA wireless Standard, But we should also see whether the same CDMA wireless standards are available in India, If so you will be able to use the phone. If not then there is no point in unlocking the Phone. Wireless CDMA standards differ from each and every network provider.

    yes you use your CDMA phone from India... First unlock your SIM setting from good phone repair shop.... After that you easily use your CDMA phone :)

    Yes thank you I got it unloked I got Reliance carrier which is prepaid but it is not activated .should i go in for post paid?

    After unlocking your phone you use any company SIM.. Post Paid or Pre-Paid is your decision..
