Is there is any way to filter my journal so I can find activity for specific user in a report? I'm using AS/400 V7R1.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

First of all you will be creating a JournalReceiver (CRTJRNRCV). This actually records Journal entries. Then you will be creating Journal (CRTJRN) here you will attach Receiver with the Journal you previously created. Then execute STRJRNPF command and associate the physical file with the Journal. Hi,

You can retrieve the Journal info to OUTFILE using DSPJRN command.

Create file with File structure followed by Journal fields. Copy data from Outfile to this file with FMTOPT(*NOCHK).

You can now query to this file for specific user and retrieve the actions performed on file.

You got to use DDS for creating PF.

If you issue DSPJRN command with OUTFILE,
OUTFILE will be created with journal structure, Replace JOESD field with your file fields and try it out.

In the DSPJRN command you can specify a specific job or User Profile -- just press page down a few times to reach these parameters

You may have an issue here as your ODBC is disabled. I suggest looking into the history logs for QZDASOINIT jobs. Another source of information should be found in the Audit Journals. If it was setup.
