I want to start a Wireless Internet Service Provider Business in my City. I stay in India. I did a research on internet and found that it can be established using Point to Multipoint Link i.e. One Base Station Antenna and many Client Receivers/ Antennas facing to the BS Antenna. Now the receiver should be facing to the BS Antenna. I wanted to know about the specifications to look while buying Base Station Antenna and Client Receiver Antenna. What are the important specifications and how they affect the infrastructure cost, link speed and data rate? What should be the ideal distance between BS Antenna and client Antennas. Though I am an Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer, I am not so familiar with deep networking. Please advice me. Your help is highly appreciated. NOTE: They say that the BS Antenna should be Omnidirectional while the client side antenna should be directional parabolic grid antenna.

What are the important specifications and how they affect the infrastructure cost, link speed and data rate? What should be...

That's a broad question, and it probably can't be answered in a forum such as this one. An answer would involve describing a business setup to a technical and cost level for all involved equipment.

It's a training and education question rather than one that asks for a solution to a technical problem. This forum should be for specific technical problems. Attempting to give an answer that essentially tells everything you asked would effectively replace an IT professional who should be doing the job. It would effectively be taking work away from someone.
