Ok so I need to root my phone because there is a problem with one of my system apps (factory mode) it keeps putting ads on my phone, installing apps and messing with my Wi-Fi connection https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/xgody-d24pro-rooting-dodgy-code-hides-t3827520
those are two links to someone who has a problem that sounds exactly like mine. I do not know very much about technology, so I have many questions. In general, it is how to root my phone, but first off I am confused about TWRP. I have read many sites that say to download it by doing something that involves bootlegging(?) but why can't I just download it from the play store? So I tried downloading it, but when I got to the part where it said to enter my phone, there was no option (I have an xgody D24). Also, some people said that I'm supposed to root first and then download this, but others have said I have to have this before I can root? I was planning on using the magisk method, but I guess I can't since the twrp app doesn't seem to support my phone? What else can I do, preferably a method that does not involve hooking this up to my computer..

Rooting a phone is generally not a good idea. If done wrong you turn your phone into a paperweight. I find it hard to believe a system app is causing these problem. If it did, I assume they would not sell a lot of these phones as bad word of mouth would hurt business.

Your second link gives the fullest info generally known about this phone. Without us having physical access to it, not much more can be said. Listing various guesses has a chance of destroying the phone's usefulness.

There was already a mess. So, don't mess it again any more. Please contact an authorized mobile repairing center and ask for help.

One more important thing, rooting a phone is not recommended. If your phone is under warranty, that may void this, and you can loose all supports from the manufacturer. There are several forums on internet, but please don't go for that. It might be harmful for your phone as well as your personal data.
