Dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4/test.csv. How to retrieve the directory name in reverse order. There is a huge number of records for which I have to get directory name in reverse order. Method that uses less time is required.
Tried QSHELL Dirname that will output the STDOUT details to a database file.
Here only 1 record is written each time. I'm hitting eof when reading db file to reach the directory name.

Can you please give us a little more information on just what you are doing? Do you have a character string and need to get a value from it? Do you have an object name and have to find where it is?

It is hard to give good advice without knowing the information around the complete issue.

    Thanks waiting for you reply

Yes more info is needed. I assume you are looking to break down the string using the / as a delimiter. You could then use the individual portions and concatenate a new string to be used. I did not see any way to parse out the string in CLLE.
