I got a laptop almost a week ago. It's Dell i7, generation 7. I used it twice but I'm not going to use it again for 6-7 months. Will its battery be damaged? What can be done to prevent this from happening? Or if using it, once in a while, is necessary then how often should I use it?

Modern batteries are vastly superior to their older counterparts. They don’t overcharge, and they don’t suffer from charge profile issues. Although it is not necessary to remove. But if so, while you will not be using your laptop for such a long time, make sure, charging the laptop battery at least to 40% - 50%, then remove the battery for storage. This provides the battery sufficient charge to remain stable, without damaging the chemical composition.

Remove the laptop battery. Battery experts suggest
