Hello experts, I just downloaded an .XIP file (from my iPhone - iOS 12) but I have a Windows 10 laptop. How can I open this specific type of file in Windows 10? Thank you!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You probably shouldn’t. The XIP file is a macOS Signed Archive that contains one or more files compressed or “zipped” using GNU Zip (gzip) compression that have been digitally signed.

What are you trying to do with a Mac file on a Windows machine??

This is basically a zip/ compressed file type based on Mac/ iOS, however other file may use as an association. It is better to open that type of file format on Mac based OS, though you can try this utility on other OS also, https://extractwizard.jaleco.com/

.xip is a compressed file just like any zip file. Use Winrar to open it just like any other zip file.

If you double-click the file, does it open? If you right-click it, is there a default 'Open' action available?
