We have a Windows Server 2008 that's connected to an iSCSI on a OpenSolaris box. I'm looking to create a private network between two boxes that separate of my Windows domain. Is there a way to configure the additional network adapter on the Windows machine so it doesn't think the new subnet is part of the Windows domain? I don't need it poison the DNS with IPs from a private network.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Edit the network connection settings and make sure the option (advanced-DNS settings) “Register this connection’s addresses in DNS” is unchecked, to prevent the private IP address from being added to the domain’s DNS.
