How to keep notes in Outlook 2013 meeting invite

Whenever I receive a meeting invitation in Outlook 2013, I usually take notes in it (so I can access my notes when I accept). Here's the annoying part: When there's an update to the meeting, my notes are deleted. Completely gone. Does anyone know of a way that I could keep the notes when a meeting is updated?

    If understood correctly, in Outlook window, under Options, click Mail > Send messages. Now check this one,

    "Delete meeting requests and notifications from Inbox after responding."

    Also check whether there is a rule set that can cause for this issue.
