    Have you upgraded this system from Windows 7 to Windows 10? Have you checked Language Pack installed properly? Probably you can try this, Settings > Time and Language > Region and Language > Add language > Select Japanese.

    All you have to do is to change the keyboard registry parameters.

    Window Search 'regedit' and click YES.

    Right under the menu, enter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters and click Enter key.

    Change each parameter like this;

    LayerDriver JPN]:kbd101.dll

  • OverrideKeyboardIdentifier:PCAT_101KEY
  • OverrideKeyboardSubtype:0
  • OverrideKeyboardType:7

    Restart your PC.

    Thanks ToddN2000 and Subhendu Sen for your input yes those settings which are mentioned are just the basic settings that worked but there are few more settings that i have to do using registry keys itself that's what i am looking for. Like there are 5 settings that i have to do for my customized Japanese Input keyboard  3 of those are working fine with the links you have shared i have already completed that part but the remaining 2 which i have asked, am not getting solution for that.Subhendu Subhendu Subhendu

    So there are two ways to do those settings one is you manually go and do those and second is you use help of registry keys and i want the second option but the problem is nowhere it has mentioned the registry keys for those settings.

    It's a normal Dell Japanese keyboard, by customized i meant to say i m changing the settings at software side for the keyboard  in Windows itself in the keyboard input type

    It is better to check the manual or contact directly to Dell for more help.

    No, because i am looking for registry keys which is based on Windows on i.e. software not hardware.
