In Microsoft Excel, I have a bunch of text in a particular cell. The alignment is currently at 90 degrees. But now I need to extend the text beyond the cell (just too much to add). Wrap text is already off. How can I do this? Should I just merge the cells? Thank you.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

You have 2 options, either turn wrapping back on to get multiple lines in the cell and keep it’s orientation or extend the cell size by dragging the cell border. But extending the cell size will throw your alignment off for other rows/columns.

Why wrap text is already off? If understood correctly, in the cell, click the location where you want to extend the line & press Alt+ Enter.
