Hi there, This is probably an easy question but I do need a solution fast. On my Lenovo Windows 10 laptop, I accidentally hit a bunch of keys and now I've completely disabled the touch screen. How do I go ahead and re-enable it? Through the Device Manager? Appreciate any guidance on this.

To enable and disable your touchscreen in Windows 10

In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, then select Device Manager.

Select the arrow next to Human Interface Devices and select HID-compliant touch screen.

Select the Action tab at the top of the window. Select disable or enable.

Alternatively, you can use Tablet mode in Windows 10, which is a new feature. It makes use of the touch screen to interact with Windows 10. The Windows desktop is disabled when Tablet Mode is enabled and the Start screen is used exclusively.

It is needed to open the Settings, then the “System” group, just tap the on/off button under the “Make Windows more touch-friendly when your device as a tablet'. Check other options there.

@sundhar: Screen lock usually requires a password to unlock. If it's not the standard Window screen lock, let us know what application has the lock screen.

@Sundhar, what kind of device is it? Mobile/ tab or other handheld device? How will we know that device is your only?

If screen lock does mean, the mobile (guess) screen goes off after a certain time gap, then you may restart this device & try again.
