First thing I'd suggest is you bookmark this link: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1019605  That gives you a guide to the parameters needed to define that printer to the iSeries.

When we create a printer, the command looks something like this:
    CRTDEVPRT DEVD([printer name])
              DEVCLS(*LAN)
              TYPE(3812)
              MODEL(1)
              LANATTACH(*IP)
              PORT(9100)
              PARITY(*NONE)
              STOPBITS(1)
              TRANSFORM(*YES)
              MFRTYPMDL([see Information on Printers])
              RMTLOCNAME('[IP address')
              SYSDRVPGM([see Information on Printers])

Thank you, We have tried everything like this, since our CP 1025 NW printer has no matching MFRTYPMDL parameter in AS/400 we are unable to find which one to use for specific printer of HP Laser jet 1025 NW. So any suggestions on which one to use will help us move ahead :)

Looking at the list, I'd suggest using either *LEXMARKC750 or *HPCOLORLJ for the MFRTYPMDL & *HPPJLDRV for the SYSDRVPGM. If those don't work, try some of the other settings available.

I do not think you can connect the CP1025 directly to iSeries. You will have to use a PC with a printer session configured on Client Access.
Following URL lists Printer support for System i: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1019534.

If the printer is network capable you can connect it to the iSeries. It just may take some playing around with the definition to get it to work well.
