I was able to connect to the VPN using wireless Internet but this Internet access is no longer available to me. I have now subscribed to Cable (LAN) Internet. VPN is not working in this. Could someone step me through how to set up VPN with cable Internet? Thanks.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Whether your broadband is connected via Cable, ,DSL or HS wireless, the method for connecting to a remote network via VPN is the same. This article and this one do a good job explaining how it is done. You want to make sure you have the correct IP address for the remote network, as well as the correct credentials for making a connection.
Good Luck!

Be aware that in certain areas of the country, Comcast does not allow VPN connections on consumer accounts: a business (i.e.: more expensive) account is required. I have hit this several times in the past several years... Some other cable providers do not make the distinction, some do... You might want to ask your provider's tech support if Flame's suggestions do not work...

@Wannatv, how did this happen? What is the actual situation that you wanted to hook up Ethernet cable? As far as my knowledge, kodi is an open source and media player app. Is it legal? Without more details not possible to provide fruitful replies.

Configuring "VPN" can depend on what VPN you're trying to use. Configuring any networking protocol can depend on the specific modem or router and its firmware level as well as which cable provider is used. I suppose it can also depend on country or region.

There is no single set of instructions that will work for everyone. More details are needed if you're having problems, especially specifics on the problems encountered.
