How to configure network

I have a comcast modem, Sonic firewall and router and switch.  Should the connection go  comcast modem to firewalll to router and then switch?

Or Comcast modem to firewall to switch torouter?

    It depends on how you want devices connected along your network and how many ports are available on the various networking components.

    What do you see as the purpose of your router? Does the Comcast modem not supply any router function? Or is your router supplying wireless?

    Most likely you'll want one or more switches plugged into your router. You'd probably have little use for a switch between the firewall and the internal router.
