Generally, Data Analysts collect, process & perform statistical analyses of data. To achieve this goal, it is needed that, to be skilled in maths, programming & statistics. One way of complying with the prerequisite is to have a resonating academic background. There are several analytical tools in the market like, SAS, Hadoop, Spark, Hive etc. For a good Data Analyst you can start to learn a scripting & statistical language, knowledge about Adobe/Google analytics tools and a very good knowledge in MS Excel (Advanced). Knowing SQL is a plus.
