Remember that the opportunity for a sale can be found in every call. The key to converting these occasions into sources of actual returns can be initiated with the following three tips:

  • Be serious about training. It is priority. Taking the necessary steps to increase your knowledge on products, services, customer service and sales techniques not only increases your confidence, it increases the customer’s confidence in you and your company.
  • Practice active listening. All too often we rush or feel rushed when it comes to our questions and concerns. Give your customer a unique experience. Be thorough and quick when it comes to resolutions but make sure you are getting all of the information that the customer would like to relay.
  • Remember attitude is important so stay positive at all time. If the customer is upbeat, match the tone of voice. Treat each caller as an individual and do not take negative feedback personally except in ways to improve or clear things up.
