Here’s the mail I got recently who fixed my problem
permanently

I have the same problem and tried this, and it didn’t work. BTW
it doesn’t work on Firefox either. Tried several reinstalls on both; even the
nightly build of Chrome 64bit with no success. apparently, this seems more like
a windows problem as The Ink email program is also reporting no access to
internet.

upgraded from Windows 8.1, Lenovo Yoga 2 i7

Internet Edge is working (this is where I am accessing all the
info).

Such a pitty, about 2 weeks since the update and not solution
from Microsoft or Google.

    go to START and Run and type in the following commands:
    cmd (enter)

    c:\netsh winsock reset (enter)

    Then restart your computer

    First check with an anti-virus, though it is already there, for this purpose use MWAV. If this is OK, reset browser settings, and before doing that, take backup of bookmarks, if possible.
