If you are looking for Gmail search then go to search box
type: in:anywhere  replace to mail address which you looking for deleted mail
Now all email which also deleted from trash shows here. On upper box of mail you see the option This message has been deleted. Restore message
So you can restore the message

The method described by reckonankit will work when the mail hasn’t been deleted from the trash box. If you've deleted the message by choosing Delete Forever, you won’t be able to get the message back.  In this situation, you have to contact the Google support team, which may help you. For more info read: Recover deleted messages

First you have to look the deleted items folder of your mail client. If there is nothing, you can try with 3rd party tools, but they are not free.

Watch out! Don't call that number. Google DOES NOT have Gmail phone support. I just fell victim to this scam.

This account is not only fake, but is also fraudulent. I just fell victim to them. They have similar "still picture" videos on YouTube where they just advertise their “purported service” and list the same 888-817-5612 phone number. I actually have another 888 number of theirs. They have several planted posts all over the web (Quora, YouTube, probably FB and more) where they claim to be able to solve technical problems ranging from helping you with your HP laptop, to helping you with your printer, to helping you with file recovery. In my case, I called them hoping they could help retrieve my lost Gmail email draft. I was skeptical yet stupid because they charged me a mere $50, which I was prepared to lose. But sadly, the process involved their using a screen-share app to take remote control of my machine — and actually going into my Mac Terminal. Who knows if they've installed some malware in my system.
