To copy a pipe-delimited text file to a physical file on iSeries, start by converting the pipe delimiting into .csv format. Then you’ll need to create a library for the file or identifying the existing library where the file will be placed. Enter the file’s DDS for the source file using the source entry utility. Create the physical file with the CRTPF or CRTSRCPF command.
