I intend to do a project in cloud forensics. So as to analyze the packet captures from the cloud, I have to purposely inject corrupted packets in the network and thus into the cloud so that on a later stage I can analyze the packet capture for forensic analysis.

If this is part of a forensics study course, your instructor should provide references to what should be used. If it's self-study, a Google search may return a couple results that fit what you need.

It doesn't feel appropriate to post an answer that can be read by others as "This is how to inject corrupt packets into (some) network."

You might consider joining the Linux Advanced Routing & Traffic Control mailing list. Review both the new and old archives, then see about posting a question there.

I agree with Raven. Is this is for study purposes talk to your instructor. We cannot verify that your are looking to do this for ethical reasons. You will not find much help here on this topic.
