How can I use OWA with Active Directory authentication?

I am trying to configure Outlook Web Access (OWA) for the office. OWA works fine except when an Active Directory (AD) user has “log on to workstation restrictions;” the user can’t get on OWA via the virtual private network (VPN). When I grant access to all workstations in the domain there is no problem. However, this continues to be a problem for VPN users. How can I use OWA with AD authentication?

This is by design. Technically, the user is logging into the frontend server (atleast that is teh one doing the authentication), so since that server isn’t in the list of login restrictions it doesn’t work.

Try putting the frontend server in the list of workstations the user is allowed to logon to in their account, that should fix the issue.

If the users can log on to OWA when not using VPN, then there should be no reason to add them to anything in order for it to work using VPN. Please provide more details as to what exactl is happening, such as error messages received when users try to log on using VPN.
