How to build my career in the software industry

Though I have done B.Tech in electrical and M.Tech in control and instrumentation. I have a little bit idea about PLC, SCADA, C++, ATP, MATLAB. But no getting enough scope to apply my knowledge in this industry. So where I can connect my knowledge in software industry make a good career scope. I have a experience of 5 years in QC field in industrial field.

    Are you working now? Hope so, as you mentioned you have 5 years experience in QC. Despite your professional qualifications are so good, but as you told you did not get better scope. Perhaps, you have gotten the job that does not match according to your qualifications. However you are an M.Tech in control & instrumentation. According to your knowledge in several technology, you can try for software testing specially respect to learn cloud based software testing tools, which is a good demand in the current market trend. You can go for SAP Basis/SAP ABAP, but they are costly also.

    Is there any specific area of interest? There are many directions you can go currently. If you are looking to get into software, with your current skills I would lean toward the security industry. You may need a programming language or two.
