Hot Swap HDD data replacement

When a hot swap HDD is damaged and removed in IBM XSeries 345, if the data is stored on this damaged disk. How do we regain it on the new HDD inserted as replacement?

Assuming you are RAID protected. When the new drive is inserted, it rebuilds the data. Here is a link for you
