Help! I can't open a PDF file with my Adobe Acrobat. A popup says that Adobe Reader could not open my PDF file "because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged." But I can open other files that are nearly identical to this one. Can you help me open the file? Thank you.

Software/Hardware used:
Adobe Acrobat, Windows 7

What is the file extension? Did you create the file or was it sent/downloaded? It may have been damaged and you should try getting the file again. If it still does not open, try another PC and see if it works. It may be your version of Adobe Reader that is corrupt.

You can open the same file by using foxit reader or nitro pdf reader.

Most likely, the document is not a supported file type or has been damaged. How have you determined that it's a proper file type and that it isn't damaged?
