Hearing other people in bluetooth headset

I can hear people talking through my bluetooth headset and I'm not talking with them. How is this possible? I can also hear phones ringing through it too. My boyfriend thinks that this is all made up in my head. Can you please explain how this is possible? Thanks. Kathy Parker.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It may be possible. If the devices are using the same frequency you may get interference. This use to happen a lot with cordless phones years ago. My only question is due to the limited range of the blue tooth signal. Unless you are in an apartment building, with neighbors surrounding your apartment, I’d ask your cell provider as to why it’s happening.

Probably, there is some kind of loose cable connection problems. For many high end BT headsets, there is probably a warranty that may still be covering them from defects/faulty. Or if this is not under the warranty, go to any electronics store and say your problem, they can help you in this regard.
