I'm getting a notification on my laptop that I can update to Windows 10 version 1803. But when I tried to update, there's an error message saying that my hardware is unsupported and that I need to call my laptop vendor. How can I find out which software, application or program is blocking the update? I would like to update my Windows version ASAP. Thanks so much.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

What are you specs for the laptop,Processor speed?  Ram? 32/64 bit ? HD space avail. If you have not been running Win10, check the system requirements… Older computer cannot run it.

It is simple, disconnect all hardware except mouse/keyboard and internet related. Then try to update Windows. It is not possible to say what hardware are connected to your system. If you are connected a new hardware type, just disconnect it and try to update.

If the laptop is unsupported, that's as far as you can go. It can't run Win10. A newer laptop is called for. To say any more, we need to know your laptop details. What is it?
