Last night, I wanted to test / compare the performances on my hard drives (for Windows 10). I downloaded the performance test 9.0 to run it. It looked fine until one of my drives' performances didn't turn out well (and I'm very surprised). I actually just don't believe the results. With that, does anyone know of a good hard drive test tool that I can use?

Are you using a hard drive or SSD? If the latter, and the drive is old, you might be experiencing the typical slowdowns seen in many SSDs. You might check out hddscan (http://hddscan.com/). Or, look at the manufacturer’s support site to see if they have a tool.

Windows 10 has built-in tool that can help you a lot. Why did you go for external tool. Just try this, after opening file manger(Windows Explorer), it shows all HDD partitions. Now right-click on the hard drive partitions one by one, then choose Properties. Select the Tools tab, then click the Check button. Now click the Scan drive option. Windows will run a hard drive diagnostic and fix any errors it encounters.

Crystal Disk Mark and Crystal Disk Info may work well you also.
