If a Word file is deleted on my computer, can a hacker recover that file remotely and view the contents of that word file on their computer? Also, can temporary word files be recovered by hackers remotely?

Possible yes, but highly unlikely. They would have to have access to your PC and know the name of the document for starters. If you deleted it and it’s still in the recycle bin they may get it from there or by means of an undelete app. But that will only work as long as the disk space has not been reused for other things.

Almost impossible, without knowing the user login / password or other credentials. While you asked for deleted file, recovering a deleted file is too heard by remote method invocation. The tools/ software so costly and this job is a very tedious job. However, there is chance but that is almost zero. How did you suspect about that. Is there any symptoms like that. You can change passwords / update OS / and of course update anti virus that can prevent also. But more correct information always helps to get good replies.

Absolutely. If they have access to your computer via valid login credentials or malware.

It is definitely possible, and if they already gained access to your computer, it would be very easy.

    Why do you ask?
