    Is it an office/your personal? If it is an office, probably, some kind of script/group policy settings are there. Once you have set the options on chrome, and saved, then it is not possible to change automatically. Or virus may also cause for the same.

    This is on my personal computer. I downloaded the latest version of google chrome and the only way to use my computer is to check my LAN settings and make sure it is on automatic detection before I click or open a new tab. I have used chrome before and never had this issue until the upgrade and can't find an older version that is compatible to windows 10.
