I believe when you are working in a domain environment your admin should have assigned a specific share drive for you to save your own documents to instead of saving them to your C: drive. Are you running windows XP or Vista? Either way you can RC on my computer(XP) or computer(Vista), then selct open and the dialog box will display oyu name to the lettered drive and you can move your items to that network drive to free up your HD. Hope this helps.

Assuming Windows XP since you did not specify version. Open My Computer, right click on C: drive, select Properties. There will be a button that says Disk Cleanup. This will help you perform some maintenance on your C: drive. But as others mention, you need to be careful as this is likely your system drive and you can make your machine inoperable if a bad choice is made.

    How about DELETE? :-) Atichy raises a good point in his answer. Maybe you should talk to your PC Admin to find out where you should be storing your stuff. You want to make sure you are storing it where it will be backed up.

    Hi, Atcihy's answer is probably very helpful. You can use TreeSize to scan your harddisk to see where some space could be retrieved. Don't delete anything until you know for sure it can be safely deleted. Temp directories tend to fill up over time. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Duncan

    Firefox history/cache/etc. too...also check for any email client you may be running (i.e. in Thunderbird you can compact the local folders) as well as any app that may be accessing SQL Server Express locally. You could have lots of database files that are hogging up space.

    hi , if you don't have enough space try below . if you are running in a domain environment working as domain user there may be to many users log in on that machine . if this is true then please have a look at profiles for the user on my computer properties . there you will see that how much space each user have used . then go to document and setting from there see any extra software or any data copied remove it or copy to another drive if you need it and remove the profile that you don't need ... if this doesn't work try disk clean up from drive properties and run disk defragment ...
