Forwarding non Gmail to Gmail account automatically

I would like to link a non Gmail account to my Gmail account. Meaning that every time someone sends a message to the non Gmail account it forwards automatically to my Gmail account and I can send a message from the non Gmail account via my Gmail account. I have managed to add it to my email list where Gmail checks from other accounts (POP3) but when I try to confirm it and save it it says Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password.
 Thanks

    Hi,

The Email Forwarders available in the cPanel or Webmail can be used for forwarding all corresponding emails to Gmail.

    CREATE FORWARDER IN CPANEL

    1. Login to the cPanel.
    2. Click Forwarders in the Mail section.
    3. On Add New Forwarder page, provide Address and Destination details.
    4. Click on Add Forwarder button.

I guess this will work for sure.

    Regards

When I go to add new address ( to' send as') it again says server error/authentication password incorrection...

If you are trying to send mail from Gmail to non-Gmail and this non-Gmail account is same from where you are auto-forwarding the emails to this Gmail account, never do that. Because it will create an endless loop.
And if it is otherwise, the same auto-forwarding mechanism should work in this case too.

Take his/her full email address to write down on a piece of paper, then open your Gmail account and from compose mail type the same ID on To box then type the body of the letter with subject line and send.
