If you’ve forgotten your local and administrator account passwords, you’ll need to reset your Surface to factory settings.
If you reset your Surface to factory settings, all the files on your Surface will be removed.
If you can’t sign in to Windows, you may be able to perform a system restore in the Windows Recovery Environment. Here’s how:
||From the Windows sign-in screen, select Power .
||Hold down the Shift key and the Alt key and select Restart.
||On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
||Select Reset this PC.
||Select Keep my files or Remove everything.
