I have a lot of FMT files on my Microsoft Word program. These are 10 years old. Do I need to have these in order to run Word or can I delete them?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Aside from being associated with Foxpro, the .fmt extension is also used by WinRar as application support. WinRar is a file compression and  decompression tool, and this software has versions that can be installed in Microsoft Windows-based systems and Mac platforms. How many files and what size? These are usually not an issue.

Where did you see fmt files? Are they under program files folder. How did you know that, you have .fmt files or what is the location of all that files. Have you run word right now/ face any problems? Please do reveal all the details to get more useful reply.
