Can a pair of clustered checkpoint firewalls running active/active function correctly when spanned across two different sites with either a layer 2 or 3 fibre link between. Does the same apply when using a pair of ASA 5540s.

    Yes it does, Cisco ASA work pretty much same as the other firewalls. We are using the similar scenario with Cisco ASA.

    Can we run a setup where we have two ASA in HA directly conneting the ILL link from two different service provider 

    How to do the Nat as both service provider has given difference public Lan pool of /29 . We need a fail over to happing if primary link goes down all traffic should paas via secondary link over secondary ASA
