Hi there,
I have a question about firewalls.I tried to find an answer but I couldn't. As you know there are million of web sites exist and it means firewall db's should be huge. When a client start to browse on the internet let's say I wrote a web filter on the firewall and client tried to enter a blocked web page how the firewall blocks it in a seconds ? The database is huge are they using special sorting algorithm ? or something else ?
Thanks for reply already

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

A firewall may not have a massive database. IT all depends on any preinstalled filters. A firewall is simply a program or hardware device that filters the information coming through the Internet connection into your private network or computer system. If an incoming packet of information is flagged by the filters or ones you set up to block then it is not allowed through.
