Finding a directory on Linux

I currently have a VPS with Suse Linux 10.3. I've logged into SSH/putty to see where some of my web files are located. I realized that since I was uploading through FTP in a directory, I'm assuming that they're located there. I've used this code to find it.
find httpdocs -type d
But it keeps saying there's no such file or directory. How can I find this directory?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Where do you run your ‘find’ command? And what are yo looking for? The way your command looks now, you are asking ‘find’ to look in the local sub-directory ‘httpdocs’, but you do not define what to look for.
You probably mean:

find ./ -name httpdocs -type d -print

First you specify where to look ( ./ ), then what you are looking for (-name …,
-type …) and then what to do with what you find (-print).

Good luck.
