    First, what "password"? To start your PC? To logon to some web site? To access your e-mail? Second, it probably doesn't make any difference since in almost all cases, if you didn't store it someplace, it almost certainly can't be "found". If you did store it someplace, you'll need to look in that place wherever it is. Unless you tell us where it is, we can't know where to look.

    Second, your DNS can be found in your TCP/IP configuration -- IF you have configured it or if it's auto-configured through DHCP. For Windows, you might try running a ipconfig /all command and look for lines labeled "DNS servers".

    In Linux, it can depend on what packages are installed, and it's related to whether or not you configure things yourself or via DHCP.

    Firt command to try:
    cat /etc/resolv.conf
    If your "nameserver" address is 127.x.x.x, then other commands might be needed instead. E.g., you might try this command:
    nm-tool | grep DNS
    If that doesn't do it, we'll probably need to know more.
