So I'm trying to help my co-worker covert her Microsoft Outlook calendar to ICS (so she can share it online). It worked but there was one catch: Her private meetings/appointments are just marked as 'Private Appointment'. It doesn't show any information (the name of the meeting, who's invited, etc). How can I export those entries the way we want them?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

During the export in Outlook, before saving the ICS:

  1. In the dialog click “further options” (or so*)
  2. Choose “Show >>”* to show the “extended options”
  3. Activate the checkbox “Include details of elements marked private”*
  4. OK
  5. Save ICS

Now you have all details of the elements in the ICS file. If you then really need to “unprivate” the elements for further use, open the ICS file with any notepad and replace all occurences of “CLASS:PRIVATE” with “CLASS:PUBLIC”.

(*) I’m using Outlook in another language.
