Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but here it goes. I'm looking to export my history in Google Chrome so I can keep tracking of everything I'm looking at. Basically, all I need is the URL / Time. I'm on a Mac computer if that helps. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Use one of following chrome plugins:

  1. History export
  2. Export History/Bookmarks to JSON/CSV*
  3. History Trends Unlimited
I have installed the last plugin (History Trends Unlimited). It will export in a tab separated format. So, you can use excel or other spreadsheet software to open it and select tab as separator. The 1st column will be url and 2nd column will be time. There are many more columns and can be useful.

There are several ways to do this job. In Chrome, press ctrl and H & select history > history options. Right click on the page, then select save as option. Make sure that the webpage, complete option is selected in save as type field & click on save after choosing your desired location (.html extension). To read the this file just open it to your default browser. Or there is a small tool called 'browsing history view' which can help to read/ save history. Also there is an extension/add-in for Chrome (export history) which you can download/install for chrome browser. This can also help to do the same job. Moreover you can export the history via command line also.

Don't keep it a secret, let us know what the command-line is.  I need to export history from my daughter's machine, but since it's linked to her school account I don't want to start adding in extensions.

Simplest way is to Open Chrome Menu --> Click on History Tab --> Click on "Show All History" at the bottom. And save it on your local machine.

Go to the My Activity page to see your browsing history, from any device. (None of the previously posted options work in my Google Chrome, Version 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit), and most don't exist. They must be specific to a Mac, and I'm using Linux.)

The methods mentioned by others will work. The only issue you may face is how far back you can get the history. It depends on how you have your cache and browsing history settings set as to when to clear them.
