Can someone suggest the easiest way to export my personal Contact information from Office Outlook 2007? I want to migrate my personal Contact information from office Outlook to my home computer. Early response will be much appreciated as I am leaving office from this Friday (1/30). Thank you.

Exporting your contacts to a format that most other email programs and services can understand is pretty easy. Export Your Outlook Contacts to a CSV or Excel File:

In Outlook , select File —> Import and Export
Highlight Export to a file —> Click Next
Choose your file format (Excel or CSV) —> Click Next
Highlight the Contacts folder. —> Click Next
Browse to specify a location and file name for the exported contacts.
Click Next —> click Finish.

I have used this with older Outlook versions, but this should be pretty safe still for 2007 .

Excellent ... AndreaF. It took me whole 90 seconds (may be) to export the Contact Info. I have exported the info -- will import this evening on home computer. This is the value of this type of forum -- last night I was trying to copy and paste the info by going directly on the Contact/Address folder! This is the value of synergy. I am trying to change my e-mail address - hopefully will be able to join the forum.

I recently had to have my computer completely reloaded by Dell.  I use outlook for all my emails which included all my contacts.  Is there a way i can find them and import them.  right now my address book shows empty.

    FOR OUTLOOK 2007/2010

    1. Click the File tab.
    2. Click Options.
    3. Click Advanced.
    4. Under Export, click Export.
    5. In the Import and Export Wizard, click Export to a file, and then click Next.
    6. Under Create a file of type, click the type of export that you want, and then click Next.
The most common is Comma Separated Values (Windows), also known as a CSV file.
    7. Under Select folder to export from, select the contact folder that you want to export, and then click Next.
NOTE    Unless you chose to export to an Outlook Data File (.pst), you can only export one folder at a time.
    8. Under Save exported file as, click Browse, select a destination folder, and in the File name box, type a name for the file.
    9. Click OK.
    10. In the Export to a File dialog box, click Next.
    11. Click Finish.

For pictures, Press F1 [help] then type "export"

When I save the Contacts file as a .CSV(Windows), I lose all of my distribution lists.

How can I export my addressbook and maintain my various distribution lists?

@Uncadon, try this one, create a new Outlook Data File (.PST) on the first machine. Now copy all the contacts to the PST and send the PST to the second machine. Next open the PST on the second machine and copy again the contacts to the Contacts folder.
