I'm having a data transfer issue. I get the CWBTF0012 general error. Looking it up it say reached max records. Here is the strange thing, I'm still under that number of records. According to what I have seen it relates to Excel 2007. I am currently using Excel 2010. I do have the client access plugin. If I run my SQL statement for the data it returns 42,272 rows. If I go into the data transfer add in, and try to run the same native SQL to retrieve the data I get the error and it stops at row 17,305. Any ideas? The only reason I try an do the data transfer as a SQL is it formats into Excel better than doing a cut and paste. Pastind tends to screw up date and field that are alpha but contain only numerics (it drops all leading zeros).

Software/Hardware used:
Excel 2010, and i-series level V7R1M0

Todd, check your client access version. If that is too low you will need to upgrade that and reinstall the plugin into Excel

Check the IBMi Access for Windows properties to get the correct program version. The version 6.0 sounds to me you are looking at the Communications Programs properties. Best is to Upgrade Client access to version V7R1M0 and use the latest service pack.
After upgrading Client Access reinstall the Excel Plugin.
