For the past couple of months or so, my Windows 10 desktop has been laggy at times. I'm looking to do a Factory reset but I keep getting this error message: There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made. I even tried using the Microsoft (Installer) but that says Windows 10 has failed. I just need to reset with losing any of my files. What should I do?

First of all take all necessary backups, this is the safest way. You can try to troubleshoot with Windows 10 Media creation tool. After downloading/creating the media, & restart Windows 10. On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer. Now choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. From there, use Safe Mode. Next select Advanced Options > Reset This PC > Remove everything. This is the link for Creating media: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10
