As Microsoft has been recommending for a while, switch away from IE and use a different browser. Is there a reason you can't?

What happens with a different browser?

I’ve never tried a different browser. You mean like Chrome? But how do I load a different browser if I can’t get onto the internet?

What OS are you using? If on Windows 10 you should be using Microsoft's Edge, but I still prefer the others like Firefox and Chrome myself. Is this a personal or work computer? We just had an issue a while back where internally we could get mail and such but our external connection to the internet was down for about 2 hours. If you clicked a link in a email it would fail.

This is not clear. Have you internet connection? If yes, so why there is not possible to download/ install other browser other than IE? If it is Windows 10, you can use Microsoft EDGE & check what happens. However more information is required.

For any useful answer, we need to know what platform you're using, including Windows version and fix level.

Please explain "I can get into ‘Outlook’." If that means that you can receive new e-mails that have been sent to you, then you are connected successfully to the Internet. It's a problem with IE and not with a connection.

How did you submit your problem here to ITKE?

Moreover, if this is latest version of Windows, then check if there are updates available. If yes, go for latest updates. Or you already updated, please check there is no pending update in Update History.

Thanks everyone for your response. Ok so here’s my answers; 1. I’m working off my laptop at home, and yes it’s Microsoft Edge As our IE (not tech savvy sorry); 2. Our Outlook is through Miscrosoft and there’s definitely an internet connect, hence why I’m so confused why our IE’s not working. I’m clicking on it and it doesn’t even open a window. 3. I am connected to this site through my iPhone :) Anyone able to help with reloading IE to my laptop, maybe that will fix it. I have no idea :(

What version of Outlook are you using? You may have to change the default browser for opening links in your emails.  There have been many issues we face here at work and basically don't develop projects any longer for IE. We use Chrome,Firefox and Edge mainly.

    Hi,

Did you do any changes recently for your computer?

Please check if any external device connected to the computer. If yes, disconnect them and try again.

If no, please your the original Windows 10 installation media to repair your Windows. You could follow the tutorial below to create the installation media :

    Download Windows 10
