    Hi Army,

The question is not clear.  You don't "write queries" using enter-query mode.

As the name implies, enter-query is just a mode of a database block, in which you can enter the data to use as criteria when the block's query is later executed.

Please explain what you want to do with some more details, or maybe examples.

    ok ok
    i run the oracle form , so i press the key = enter-query .
in the field hire_date is date , i want to use (between)
i press ctrl+E  for (text item or dialog box) to say :
    i need all dates :
    between 1-1-2019 and 1-2-2019
so i have to write only 12 characters no more length

    they told me to set
    FORMS_RESTRICT_ENTER_QUERY=FALSE   ok
    but did not work
so plz any ideas or right query to use between date a in the filed hire_date when i press the key=enter-query

    Sorry, I still don't understand.

What do you mean by "i want to use (between)"?
Does that mean that you want your users to write the "between" word?
Or does that mean that you want the data block to internally use a BETWEEN condition to return rows between some date range?

Also, why do you have to write only 12 characters?  There is no way to use only 12 characters to describe 2 dates accurately.

In your example of "between 1-1-2019 and 1-2-2019", which ones would be those 12 characters?
