I just installed the newest version of Windows 10 on my laptop (it's an HP laptop). But now my fingerprint sensor has completely stopped working. I'm not sure if it was disabled during the update. How can I re-enable it? I would like it turned on.

Install the HP Simple Pass Identity Protection Software for Win10 :  ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71729.exe

First of all check if there is a user manual from HP, where it clearly mentioned about fingerprint reader.

Select the Start button, then click Settings > Accounts. Click Sign-in options on the left. Scroll to Windows Hello & click Set Up in the Fingerprint section. (Before doing this, it is needed to create/add one PIN, else it may be shown greyed). Next Click Get started. Enter the PIN. Next scan your finger on the fingerprint reader. You will have to do this multiple times to give the scanner a good picture of your prints.
