Emails are being deleted in Outlook 2016

Hi experts, Have an odd question for you. One of our employees is having batches of emails deleted in Outlook 2016 / Office 365. There are no rules affecting the account (we already checked). And sometimes, the user doesn't even get the emails because they're deleted immediately. We're on Windows 10 too.

    The emails are getting deleted at server end before downloading to client device or after downloading? If this is happening for only a particular user then you need to check with admin to check the rules for this particular user.

    When you said no rules that is one possibility. Did you also check the blocked sender list? As for the deleted e-mails, is it a possibility these were recalled before the recipient had a chance to read them?

    It is also possible that you have a A/V plugin running that is deleting / Spam folder your missing emails. I had that issue with Norton and a plugin that I was not aware of until I noticed the spam folder had hundreds of emails in that had never made it to the inbox.
