So I recently sent an email (from Gmail) to my boss but she said she didn't receive it. I'm not seeing it in my Sent folder either. I'm not seeing it in Drafts too. Where could it have gone? What can I do to find my email?
How long ago was the email sent? It may have been cleaned up automatically if it was not recently sent. Try sending another email, to anyone, using Gmail and make sure it goes into your sent folder. If it does show, not you may have really sent it or there was an issue when you sent it to your boss.
It might be anywhere between the sending and receiving systems. There's no guarantee that an e-mail item might arrive in a given time period. It could take two or three days either to show up or to trigger one type of 'undelivered' message or another.
A case where it also isn't seen in a 'Sent' folder is potentially fully dependent on the e-mail server. You'd need to contact the administrator to know anything for certain about it. No one here can check for you.
It may also be the due to security settings and spam filters your mail have been blocked when going to your boss. Are you both using the same email service, Gmail, or does she have a company email on an Outlook exchange or other service?
Sometimes if your sender email is not right or something wrong in typing, then that email will bounce to your inbox which is not appeared on in sent mail. Did you receive any bounce email?
Regardless if it got bounced, caught by spam filter or other issue after leaving your computer, you should still see it in your sent folder unless you have rules in place. We can only guess at that point
