I want to start moving away from login scripts for mapped drives to using group policies.
I want to achieve the following:
- Create a new folder share.
- Create a security group i.e. FOLDER_SHARENAME.
- Add the users who need access to the shared folder to the above security group.
- When user logs in the drive is mapped.
The thing I'm not sure about is where to apply the group policy.
Would it be best to create a new OU to hold all the above FOLDER_SHARENAME groups in and apply it there?
Thanks for any advice.
